Let's outlaw cigarette smoking.

That would go over just as well as outlawing alcohol did.

I carry a repair kit and air pump on my motorcycle, (no spares on bikes). One time I had a nail and slow leak in my front tire, I made it all the way home from Durango by just pumping it up along the way.

I'd still rather have a spare in the car/truck though.

Yes they are crap. My folks rented a new car with sensors, drove it up to Bailey and the warning light was on. I checked the tires cold in the AM with my old fashioned gauge and they were dead nuts on with the pressure on the door label sticker. I don't know if the sensors are affected somehow by altitude, but they don't seem to work well here.

My sensors do not understand winter. It reads low tire every morning when it is cold out.

Same issue here. Because the warning light was on all the time even with proper tire pressure, I ignored it. When I finally did get a real flat tire the sensor did me no good because the light was on all the time anyway. So by the time I noticed the flat (I was on a dirt road) the tire was ripped to shreds.

And if you don't have a spare tire when you are out in the middle of nowhere on dirt it could be a life or death situation. Many people carry two or more spares when exploring isolated areas on dirt.

Modern tires are built much better than the old ones... I don't carry a spare on either of my cars and haven't for years and have not needed a spare either

and I do it the "old school way" I get out there with a gauge and measure my tires at the beginning of each season and from time to time if one looks low. I look at them every time I get in the car.

Maybe they should eliminate half the crap they add to cars nowdays.
Make a basic car without dvd, gps, backup sensor, tire pressure sensor, self parking, etc, etc.

Go to any used tire warehouse and you'll find sets of 3 everywhere...and not because they came off 3 wheeled cars. Even the best tires have weak sidewalls and are not impervious to road hazards.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
