For all those who celebrate Passover or Easter here is are a few thoughts. Both holidays celebrate freedom. For the Jews Passover symbolizes the release from bondage and that thought has a wider meaning for men and woman. All of humanity wants to be free. Free to pursue their dream and free of the constraints of oppressive governments. And for Christians, they celebrate the freedom from sin and the promise of a new life and the freedom from eternal death. These are worthy goals for both faiths and in turn, freedom is a concept that all humankind can agree on. So even if you don't ascribe to either of these two traditions take a moment today or this weekend to consider freedom, because that's the desire that connects every man and woman on this planet, and there are still many people in the world who have yet to fulfill that goal.
What will you do in the coming year to help your fellow man and woman to retain or obtain freedom?
