I found this an interesting twist. Romney the Mormon's father and grandfather did not practice polygamy. Obama's father was still married to an African woman when he married Barack's mom. And Barack's grandfather was married to four women at the same time.

Would it not be easy just to say that the next time someone who was not born here get elected to president, that we have had a national vote on the topic and that....the people feel their collected opinion trumps the constitution, in fact should be a pretty good to update it...and that if the people want to elect Putin, that they should have the right to do so, if he gets the votes?
And I don't want Obama to win again. But I am one of those people that does not want to get his way through dirty means such as restricting the will of a people that have the right to be uninformed.
Plus to the OP, to post this thinking it was real is just naive (NATIVE without the T), all the money that has gone to this has only weakened the oppositions ability to pay for ads and made those involved look silly, especially as they try to subvert the will of the people.
In the end, it makes birthers and republicans look like they do not not want to have a free election, using any means possible to disqualify voters and candidates vs. providing candidates that are so good it does not matter about this petty hoopla.
I want the right to elect any human on the planet, I also want the right to elect a brick if that is what we collectively decide, and I doubt any of you could argue well that the brick would do any worse than any politician that has been mentioned on this site.
