I'd like to hear ANYONE on the left defend Obama's words in that video. Were they lies or just wishful promises that Obama never fully thought through?
I think every leftie has to come to terms with this question- the thing is, there's no easy path away from it.
For if all those statements were lies- just in your face, up your butt lies- do you really want to re-elect a lyer? If he lies that much- can you even trust him for one more day? If you have any sort of moral fiber left in yourself, you can answer this question easily.
Now if they were just wishful promises that Obama never fully thought through, well there's an even more complex problem. Do you really want to trust your future- your families future- the countries future on sombody that just can't seem to get anything right? Someone who consistantly shows bad judgement, someone who gets it wrong over and over and over again?
Even if you are a leftie- this has got to bother you. You all on the left can't be that apathetic. Somewhere in your heart you have to know that it makes a difference- somewhere there still has to be some integrity left.
And if there is any adherence to moral and ethical principles left inside of you- any soundness of moral character- any honesty left at all- how can you vote for this guy again?
How convenient it is to redefine a "goal" as a "promise", and if un-met, a "lie"...
Unfortunately, he didn't know at the time that the GOP hit-squad was having a meeting on the very day of his inauguration to agree on the plan to destroy every policy and every piece of legislation put forward with their obstructionism and covert sandbagging, even if it meant destroying the economy and America...as long as it would give them a win in the next election. I guess he underestimated the depth to which the right-wing scum would stoop to get their way.
It wasn't "bad judgement" on his part...It was obstructionism-at-all-costs on their part. Soundness of moral character? Honesty? Yes, that's why I'm working VERY hard to ensure that these right-wing vermin don't succeed in their cynical plan to win at any cost.
