All three articles come to essentially the same conclusion: Obama was willing to make substantial cuts to the crown jewels of liberalism---Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid---and get little in return, in order to get a deficit-reduction deal with Republicans."
Thanks for posting that NC, :thumbsup: ... there were links to three articles about all the wheeling and dealing last August on the "big deals" that all failed. Its going to be the same bad rerun end of 2012.
IMO they need to break this problem into smaller parts and do them each individually. Entitlements, tax reform, budget cuts.
Its worthwhile to read the articles to get a sense of why DC is so dysfunctional.
