Those stinky hippies with the Occupy Denver movement are at it again...
Occupy Wall Street activists are preparing for a nationwide series of demonstrations and are calling for a "general strike" on Tuesday, May 1st--also known as "May Day" or "International Workers' Day"--and Occupy Denver has just released its own schedule of events for the day of protest in Denver. The demonstrations could wind up being the largest seen from the OWS activists in 2012.
The good news? They don't start until noon so no need to turn in early tonight, not that anyone planning to attend is worried about being on time to anything.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
I am trying to organize an Occupy Turkey Creek Canyon Speed Trap on May Day. As part of the 99% that feels it's our right to speed on public roads, I resent the fact that the Morrison police have made 285 safe for the other privileged 2%. Besides... the Morrison police are not really interested in public safety... it's all about the money. Have you ever paid close attention to the speed signs going south on 285. There's three signs in less than a half of a mile. Sixty Five miles an hour drops down to 50 and then before you even have a chance to take a hit off your bong pipe... wham... 45 miles an hour. You can't even take you eyes off the road for a moment to find the Southern Comfort shooter you just dropped on the floor before you've passed all three signs.
So I say let's get a Occupy Turkey Creek Canyon Speed Trap group together this afternoon and camp out in the middle of 285, north and south lanes, the shoulder and even in Turkey Creek if we have to. I'm going to need someone to run this for me. Maybe JSG or Lady Jazzer (Archer is to far away to get here today). I'm only available on Mondays and Fridays. Tuesdays through Thursdays I'm tending my marijuana crop at Crystal Lake. And on the weekends I play drums at a Buddhist temple. But we should be able to get enough people together so we can rotate shifts... I know everyone is as busy as I am. I can make things a bit easier. I've already contacted social services and they will have a representative on site so none of you will miss filing deadlines for any welfare benefits. And I already checked out the area around the speed trap for free wifi. The dudes that live on the south side of the canyon have an unsecured router in their house or something, so we can still access the internet and file our bi-weekly unemployment claims.
The Brits at the Mountain Center have 10 used tents in storage which they will let us have. They only ask us for a small donation and also that we promise to hand out flyers at the occupation advertising their upcoming auction to raise money for African children with 6 toes. Johnson's Feed and Grain has offered to supply all the sorghum that we can eat. With enough sorghum we can also set up a small biofuel processing tent and use the fuel to power our generators for our IPods and Iphones. And if we can round up enough cardboard we will be able to build a Starbucks and an Apple Store for our use.
So... let's get this thing started... we need your help today. Let me know how you can help out. What can you bring to the table? Help Occupy Turkey Creek Canyon Speed Trap. Happy May Day.
:bash
Удача с этим.
I hope the OWSrs decide to a do a full on occupation this tiime. I hope they camp out all year and occupy every extra square inch of space they can find. I hope they spend all their time making signs, holding donation buckets, playing music, and disrupting businesses.
If they do all this and really stick to their guns, they'll be out of the way of job seekers who pound the pavement daily looking for work.
Party on OWSrs!!
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
