Tired of bitching about high gasoline prices and not doing anything about it? Delta Airlines is buying a Conoco refinery. Are they going to be checking out oil leases next? Takeing eliminate the middleman to the next level?

 I'm sure Congress will find some reasons to stop this from becoming any kind of trend.

i disagree. It's a forward-thinking move by Delta and I doubt any politician in this political climate would want to be seen as stifling business by opposing this. They're separate operations so there's no conflict of interest.

But they will have their hands in dirty evil oil...can't have that without the government getting involved.

Or course the government will get involved, but that's very different from your prognostication that "Congress will find some reasons to stop this from becoming any kind of trend."

Could be a smart business move, several refineries in the NE are shutting down, probably available to buy for a relatively cheap price.
