Not a Campaign Stop?!

Underneath this dramatic diplomatic show, however, it is not difficult to see that the president's trip is just another campaign stop for President Obama, one in which he will politicize the one-year anniversary of Usama bin Laden’s death and take credit for what was no doubt a team effort that began long before he took office.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Yes, like donning a jumpsuit and landing on a carrier deck (on a carrier that is parked in the harbor next to San Diego) in a jet, and giving a speech under a "Mission Accomplished" sign. Very similar....

I'd cut Obama some slack for going to Afghanistan, its part of the job. And I agree the Bush carrier landing was a stupid stunt and I thought so at the time, nothing wrong with cheering on the troops but no need to take extra risks or showboat.

On the anniversary of Bin Laden's death? And there are still some knuckle-draggers that think that's inappropriate? (Election season or not?) :Snooze

No one but me finds the timing of this "surprise" trip to Afghanistan just a little curious!? What happened in Abbatbad, Pakistan a year ago to the day and who shamelessly claimed to the person who was solely responsible for the event? I can't be the only one who sees right through this shameless attempt to increase Barry's popularity...

As for W and his plane ride around San Diego harbor, at least he had some things to celebrate and gave full credit to the troops where the credit belongs!
