Scott Brown uses Obamacare provision to insure daughter Tuesday, May 1, 2012
U.S. Sen. Scott Brown has repeatedly spoken out against President Obama’s health care law, yet is using a portion of it to provide insurance for his adult daughter.
The Massachusetts Republican told the Boston Globe that "of course" he uses a provision of the law that allows parents to keep their children on family insurance plans up to age 26. His daughter, Ayla, is 23.
Brown, who won his seat by campaigning against the law, says he still thinks it should be repealed.
Democrats, including the campaign of his chief rival Elizabeth Warren, quickly labeled Brown a hypocrite, saying he’s trying to prevent other parents from providing insurance for their children even as he takes advantage of the benefit.
Dang, I could watch this for hours... Voted against it, campaigned on it, still thinks it should be repealed....But thinks it's good enough for his 23-year old daughter to be enrolled under it. Who knew?!?
Liberal logic, you have to support the whole bill even if you like only 20% of it?
Many Republicans support different features of Obamacare ike covering pre-existing condtions.
Should Obama pay the Clinton tax rate because he wants to repeal the Bush tax cuts?

As a good American, I'm sure that Obama includes extra in his payments to the IRS just because he knows he's got more than his fair share of the wealth.

We know how much LJ opposed the Bush tax cuts so I'm sure she's not being a hypocrite and has been paying more taxes than she owes for the last 10 years. You are allowed to send in extra, you know.
And we have at least one liberal here who uses Bush's Medicare plan even though she opposed it. You can always pay the full amount in cash for your drugs, you know.
Anyway, I don't think Brown or anyone else is a hypocrite if they take advantage of something they opposed. You'd be foolish not to. Why spend more than you have too?
You'd only be a hypocrite if you said you'd never use a plan you opposed, and then ended up using it. Or you'd also be a hypocrite if you keep posting about Republicans doing something and ignore it when Dems do it, or you even do something similar yourself. LJ?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
I've never opposed the plans. I think it's grossly hypocritical to campaign on something you voted against, scream about it being "unconstitutional"--and then sign up for it and use it.
But then, hypocrisy is the first plank of the Republican Party...Why would I be surprised?

Where is the "roll your eyes" smiley?

Are you sending in extra money to offset the Bush tax cuts that you want eliminated, or are you taking advantage of the additional money in your pocket?

I've already said that I support the elimination of the Bush tax-cuts, and I support the Buffet Rule--even if they apply to me... What part of that is unclear to you?

So all the countless posts you've made here complaining about the "$700 billion" spent on Bush's Medicare drug plan means you never opposed it?
