Garmin.

Mine saved me before I got 50 feet away from the Hertz rental lot in Florence Italy. I was suddenly in the middle of the most wild traffic and the craziest laid out streets and highways I ever have seen. It took me 3 minutes and 40 seconds to become an expert Italian driver... I had no choice... else I would have been killed.

:VeryScared: Too risk averse, would never drive in Italy, it was scary enough being a pedestrian in rome.

We spent the last three days of the vacation in Rome, and we had the car rented right through the full 10 days, but I decided to ditch the car before we left Florence and we took the high speed train to Rome and we used public transportation for the Rome part of the vacation. I found driving in Italy to be a lot of fun, but even I wasn't stupid enough to want to drive around Rome. No... Tuscany was enough.

Waiting for Armageddon since 33 AD
