Tax rates under President Obama are considerably lower than under Reagan. Additionally, Reagan raised taxes while President Obama has not. All in all, the tax burden on Americans under the current administration is considerably less than they were under Reagan.

Obama didn't lower the payroll taxes by 50% - what orifice did you pull that one out of? Payroll taxes were 15.3% of income and are now 13.3% of income - that's hardly a 50% reduction. If one wishes to look at it specifically, the individual employee's contributions for OASDI went from 6.2% to 4.2% - still not a 50% reduction. Delusions of grandeur clouding what's left of your memory these days?
