Bush eventually wised up and quit making Bin Laden so important to the big picture. When Bin Laden died, AQ still remained and really didn't get weakened much if at all.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Taking out Bin Laden wasn't so much about weakening al Queda as it was finding and punishing the embodiment of 9/11. Bush made that promise that our country wouldn't rest rill he was dead. That was a message to the victims and to the perpetrators.....The USA will get justice. I appreciate Obama fulfilling that promise.

Since we are looking into the distant past, let's all hop in the WABAC machine (Google Mr. Peabody if that reference got past you) and revisit Bubba and his call on bin Laden:

Bill Clinton denies it now, but he once admitted he passed up an opportunity to extradite Osama bin Laden.

At least two offers from the government of Sudan to arrest Osama bin Laden and turn him over to the U.S. were rebuffed by the Clinton administration in February and March of 1996, a period of time when the former president's attention was distracted by his intensifying relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Who knew that a leading Islamic terrorist would continue to escalate terror campaigns against the west way back in 1996? Oh, wait... :bash

I guess when a President is getting personal attention from an intern he can get distracted.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

What exactly do Clinton actions before 9/11 have to do with Bushes actions after 9/11? Other than deflection away from Bushes failing to get him and Obama's succeeding.

Deny, deny, deny... It only takes a few seconds.

Then again, once he had to admit the truth it was deflect, deflect, deflect and blame others and that takes four minutes and change. Worse, he never really directly said "I did it, it's my fault and I and responsible for my own actions." Even more egregious, the press gave Bubba a free pass on the whole thing.

"W" was just trying to psych OBL? Make him come out and create another video?

Let him get complacent like we were before 9/11 and like we are becoming once again....seems to work pretty well.

Ah... the old "Clinton did it, too" response...

Conservatives are so predictable.

My post was merely to point out Bush flipped 180 degrees within 6 months of 9/11 when all we wanted was to get the mastermind of 9/11. It was in response to the "evolving" posts.
