Since the election a few weeks ago and the recent election putting no clear majority in power, the Greek people have been taking Euros out of Greek banks. Only makes sense, if Greece leaves the Euro zone, their replacement currency, (Drachmas?) will probably lose value quickly. (Per Fox News about the continuing run on banks.)
Update from my sources in Hungary. The European banks have cut off Greek banks and the Greeks are now crossing the borders into other countries. And those with the money from Greece and Italy have been moving to northern European states rather than ride out the austeritiy measures now in place.
