You are probably right. I was watching the DVD last year with my dad and we would laugh at parts but they were uncomfortable at times.The Liberals GOP Twin wrote:

And that is what this movie is about. I saw it opening day. It portrays the dictator (satirically) for just what he is, what all dictators. The movie actually present the other middle eastern characters (the populace and ex-pats) as rather resourceful and scientifically advanced (the only neanderthal is the dictator). This movie is not an indictment of Arab people... unless you are Arabic and have designs to become a dictator.
