Harvey Weinstein may have a second October Surprise up his sleeve to help the flailing Obama administration earn a second term.
Weinstein's "Butter" feature, a not so thinly veiled attack on the Tea Party, is set to bow before November's presidential election. But now, one of Hollywood's biggest Obama boosters may be plotting to drop a second film into the early Fall schedule, one celebrating the president's biggest accomplishment - the killing of Osama bin Laden.
Will it be enough to persuade the sheep in November?
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

Probably not....the conservative sheep will follow each other into the voting booth and vote for Romney. They can't help themselves, and they certainly have no intention of helping America.

Spoken like a truly diluted sheep. Funny thing that. Yessum, not a thing changes....in BOTH herds.

The "conservative sheep" started the tea party. Your opinion of the tp is well documented but think about this. The republican establishment agrees with you about the tp.
What have the dissidents on the left done other than continue to march off the cliff and crap on police cars?
While you think we are wrong and dangerous, do you really believe are intention is to hurt America.
I have talked to you, do you think I am a knuckle dragging idiot.
To reiterate, the republican establishment fears the tp, are you comfortable being in sync with them?

Where did all that come from? I hate murderers......you hate murderers.....that doesn't mean we are on the same side in anything other than that. (OK, I made that up, I have no idea if you hate murderers or not)
I also have no idea if your intention is to hurt America, but I do know, IMHO, that your (Republicans) ideas will hurt America and Americans.....they have in the past and they will again. I have a lot in common with the old Republican party, and I surely can understand their frustration with the Tea Party.....it's outside the comfort zone of many people, both right and left.
Have I ever called you a knuckle dragging idiot? No.....but can I see why some who read your posts, or posts from other's that you agree with, could draw that conclusion, assuming we could have an actual definition of knuckle dragging idiot.. That is said out of frustration by those who care deeply about this country and the direction the conservatives would take this country.....it is hard for them to believe that reasonable people could hold those opinions. I agree with that concern.....I don't have to agree with the sentiment. Believe me, I have been called worse here as have all the other liberals.....it seems to be part of the frustration on both sides.

I agree. Many conservative and tea party ideas are out of the comfort zone for a lot of people. The thing is, the are being the adults in the room and being honest with the American people. They are being up front, at the risk of their political career, say "we can continue down the road we are going". The thing is, the establishment republicans, and the democrats are two in the same. They just want to continue doing the same failed policies, and keep getting re-elected. That is where we separate. We NEED leaders. Not people who put their finger in the wind for ever decision, but people who are willing to make the hard decision, and persuade us to follow them. The democrats haven't done that in a long time. Neither have the republicans. Both parties have made a mess of our country by doing politically expedient things instead of the right thing.
No instead of a broad brush, could you elaborate what specifically is proposed by the tea party/conservative side that is so horrible and will hurt America?
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

Maybe not. It's more like they are being the good old politicians in the room. From Redstate and Club for Growth (can't get more conservative than those two places)
The Club For Growth’s Depressing Study: Failure and Lies of the Tea Party Congresscritters
There have been many studies out on the “tea party congress” and just how tea party it actually is. One study last year noted that 70% of candidates who went to Congress under the tea party banner were voting just like the Republican Leaders they ran against.
Probably one of the best places to get a sense of this is the Club for Growth. Why? The Club ignores social votes and focuses only on fiscal votes — spending issues more than anything else.
But what of the candidates who actually went to DC on a wave of tea party support. Turns out some of them were liars and a lot of them behaved like the pigs in Animal Farm with some of them deciding they were more equal than others.
The Club for Growth’s new study of this Tea Party Congress paints a rather depressing picture. You can see how the freshman of the Tea Party Class of 2010 preformed by clicking right here.
I’m afraid if the tea party is not much more successful in primarying Republican candidates and then having those guys practice what they preach, the GOP is within a decade of going the way of the Whigs.

And the liberal left are helping America? That is why CA is in the toilet and others following suit.
Be thankful that so many Americans are taking a stand and doing something. Obuma is bent on destroying this country. It has to stop.

Wow... I feel the exact same way about the way democrats encourage the entitlement-minded in order to buy their votes. It hurts those that need help, it hurts America, and I find it hard to believe that a resonable person could support that.
Actually, I can believe it, I was just kinda parroting you to make a point. I try hard to understand the opposing point of view - even if I don't find it reasonable. One of the worst things any of us can do, and many on this forum are guilty of it, is to ignore the opposition or simply dismiss it as being unreasonable or even evil. Doing that is just a cheap and easy way to avoid any real thought - it's far easier to just keep slamming the opposition than it is to actually listen and justify our own opinions.

I know it wasn't aimed at me, but that's never stopped any of us from commenting anyway, right?
I was all for the tea party when it started out with the whole free market, smaller government emphasis. It was an econimic stand.
Then the social conservatives got in there and mucked up the message the same way the social liberals screwed up OWS.
Think about it. If the tea party had stuck with "Less government in big business" and OWS had stuck with "Less Big Business in government" there would be considerable room for compromise. Instead, knuckleheads started bringing in social issues that stand for no compromise, but only serve to create a chasm between warring factions.
