That would be a pretty powerful play, but I think a couple things prevent it from happening. His wife doesn't want to suffer through a campaign. And he voted for Obama & trashed Bush on the Iraq War so Romney can't choose him. And I think Obama likes having Biden as a second banana. You don't want someone with more gravitas stealing the limelight from you. And you don't have to worry about that with Joe.

It's pretty obvious right now that Powell thinks the GOP is a sinking ship.
The exchange between him and Hannity was hysterical. Hannity was trying to use the "GOP 'Talking-point of the day'" in a sentence: "Obama ____ divisive ____ad nauseum", and Powell pretty much shoved it down his throat. He would NEVER fly with the teabaggers.
I would support Powell, either as a Dem or as an independent. The only knock on him is he at times has been too much of a team player even when the situation calls for otherwise. This was evidenced as his role in the attempted cover up of the My Lai massacre, and in his role in run up to the invasion of Iraq (although he was mislead by Bush/Cheney/Rumsfield). I believe he has no use for the current Republican party, as his recent dust up with Cheney and his criticism of Romney.

:VeryScared: Wow, you actually watched Hannity? Did you have to throw up a little in your mouth? I don't even watch Sean. A lightweight only armed with talking points.

I wouldn't watch Hannity if you paid me... I saw the clip on another show. There's a limit on how much Nazi-ism I can tolerate, and about 10 seconds of the clip was my max...

Probably not...
Former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Colin Powell supports marriage equality. Powell made the remarks in an interview taped for CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer. In talking with Blitzer, Powell cited his LGBT friends and their committed relationships as a driving force in his support.
