Black-on-black crime in the suites

African-American political power didn’t protect civil rights...

For decades, it was presumed that having blacks in positions of political leadership on the local, state and national levels would serve as a safeguard to preserve the victories of the civil rights movement and ensure that the people on whose behalf those battles had been fought could benefit from the new opportunities that those victories afforded. But in time, just the opposite has happened. In an era where race has begun to serve as both a shield (rebuffing legitimate criticism as evidence of racism) and a sword (attacking dissenting opinions as racist) many black officials have entered zones of comfort insulated from responsibility. In many cities, monopolies of opportunist leadership have reigned unchallenged for decades. [/b][/i]

The problem is not just at the street level. Racism is a favorite bludgeon of the left, but black on black crime goes right to the core of black leadership.

In the eyes of some politicians and black "leaders", African Americans need to remain reliant on them in order to keep their voter base and their jobs. MLK would be quite disgusted at the level of pandering and the "you can't do it without our help" attitude blacks are assaulted with before every election. JMO.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
