Sleep well knowing that those who defend you are doing just that right now and risking their own lives to defend your ability to make fun of them.
Ha. Nice try at diversion and finally pulling the patriot card. But I wasn't making fun of them. I was making fun of YOU and your trumped up accusation. You're just too stupid to realize it.
Let me spell it out r e a l s l o w f o r y o u:
Dying in a vehicle crash in another country after the war ended is not counted as a combat death in Iraq. Your own link even says "non-hostile." So, Obama didn't make a mistake. You did. I'm embarrassed for you.

You are dead wrong, just because an individual is not "IN COUNTRY" does not mean the death of a service member is not attributed to a war. In this one case maybe not, I have not read up on it, but your statement is flat wrong. My son lost a friend just couple months ago, he had been stateside for awhile, his passing is considered a combat related death. I sure as hell am not embarrassed for Otis.

I'm curious, did your son's friend die from injuries he originally sustained in the war? I don't see how a death after the fact, not from injuries sustained during the war, would be considered a combat related death. I had many friends come back from Viet Nam and die within a year or two, I don't recall those being considered combat related.....even though I think they were related to their war experiences.....suicide in particular. If, as in this case, the injuries and the death occur after the war is "over" how would that be considered combat related? Please....this is not meant to be argumentative, I am genuinely curious.
As for otis....my issue with him is that he chose Memorial Day to slam the president....I thought that was in poor taste. Memorial Day is very close to me and my family. We have a long list of family members who have died in service of their country...I am very proud and grateful to each and every one of them, also to those who served and are still with us. But Memorial Day is for those we lost....and reading the post by otis just made me angry and sad.
