With no snow recorded in May at Denver the total snowfall for the March through May period ended up being 1.0"which is the lowest on record
. The previous low was 1.1" in the Spring of 1887. The most snowfall ever recorded in the March through May period was in the Spring of 1944 when 52" fell.

Depends on the model, some of the AGW climate scientists were predicting greater snow levels. Warm air holds more moisture, so when it did dump on us, it would be wet, heavy snows, instead of the super chilled dry snow.
So with this theory, we would have more snow in winter and less in spring, just like the ski areas prefer.

No, not on the model, but on the region. Some regions will get more snowfall than before, some will get less. The overall picture is that the weather will move away from being moderate, to experiencing more extremes. Here in the Rocky Mtns, we're predicted to get less snowfall, become drier, and have less and less snowpack to bail us out through the summer. It's already happening.

we had a problem with precipitation, not temperature.
(Alaska, by comparison, had no problems with either).
I certainly feel the lack of precipitation is a major concern (we're more dry than we were in 2002).
However, I don't think I'd lump this in AGW evidence file.
Other than Dillon sending water to the NFSP River look at any of the other streams. They look as low as fall and it is only May. Hope we get rain this spring/summer.
Sorry SC avoiding the AGW as it has been discussed so many times before.

Denial is about emotion, not about facts and accumulated evidence. I see info like what I posted above and I am very concerned, and I want others to be as well. This is exactly what climate scientists have been predicting, and the trend is continuing this way.
bailey bud, I'm curious as to why you wouldn't lump it in with AGW? If this were only a decade of seasons going this way, I'd be right there with you, but this trend is much longer and growing more worrisome.
akilina, I don't blame you at all. I'd avoid it if I could too.

Ok, the report I was reading was speculation by a English AGW'r and mainly talking about how UK winters would change. You could be right about the extremes, Anchorage almost got a record amount of snow last year.

So let me see if I'm understanding you here. Because we had 0.1" less snowfall over a three month period than the previous low, it is proof of man induced climate change? How about Wyoming SC, they are part of the Rocky Mtns, as is Montana, New Mexico and Canada. Is this a local event or one that covers a 3000 mile long stretch along the meridian of the North American continent? Also, how much impact has urban sprawl had upon the immediate Denver Metropolitan area as we are adding acres and miles of concrete and asphalt? Might that have as much, or more, of an impact on snowfall in Denver than a global climate change?
