Up... up... and away...

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows Mitt Romney with 46% of the vote to President Obama’s 45%. …

Romney has inched ahead of Obama in Ohio, taking the lead in the key battleground state after the president has led there for several months. This also marks a continuing shift in the critical Core Four states – Ohio, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia – with the Republican now leading in all four for the first time in Rasmussen Reports polling this year.

And Gallop shows Obama at 47% and Romney at 44%......picking and choosing polls is such fun.

Yes, if you can find enough polls at FauxNews and Rasmussen, you can make them appear to have almost any outcome you want.

Ignore the popular polls. Obama could get 90% of the vote in California, but it won't win him any more electoral votes than 50.1% of the California popular vote.

This race is all about how many state electoral votes you can get. Romney has to take Ohio and Florida to win in November.

Yep... And the current projections have Obama: 270 ; Romney: 181

And, obviously, it's too early for that to mean much.

:crossed: Reagan was way behind Carter in 1980 but trounced him in November. My only hope in this election

So the polls don't really mean much, then, as your anecdotal evidence suggests.

It's a long way time till November for both candidates. Anything could happen.

Except for us getting someone that might be good at the job to run for the office.

We've already got the better of the two candidates. If I wanted a vulture-capitalist who thinks government should be screwing the middle-class to give breaks to the 1%-ers, I'd vote for Romney, though... (not bloody likely)...
