It was. I'm been trying to convince my partner that we should just move there. Quite her job, sell off all the rent properties we have (we've been moving some money around, these depressed economies are great for foreclosed properties) and sink it all into a b&b in France. She's 10 years my younger, so she may have a few more years left that she wants to keep working and playing the real estate market, but if I can manage to keep my feet out of a grave, she may catch up with my idea someday. And for me... all I need is an internet connection and I can program and/or write/produce and promote my literature from anywhere in the world. I'm a real househusband so I'd love keeping up a small hostel.
