The Nutmeg State will be funding the Communist Party.
Yep, despite massive debt and a mushrooming deficit, Governor Dannel Malloy, with the obedient Democrat legislature in tow, will convene the State Bond Commission on June 4th and push through a $300,000 “grant-in-aid to Progressive Education and Research Associates to finance renovations to the New Haven Peoples Center at 37 Howe Street.” The masquerades of Progressive this and People that aside, 37 Howe Street happens to be the headquarters for the Connecticut Communist Party, run by Joelle Fishman, who also happens to be the regional bureau chief for the infamous Peoples World. Which, yes, also happens to be located at 37 Howe Street.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
Contrary to what this article implies, 37 Howe street houses far more than the communist party....it is an historic community center with a rich history. I think we need "the rest of the story">

You're right...
Progressive Education and Research Associates, Inc. d/b/a New Haven Peoples Center
New Elm City Dream which has taken a lead in organizing for jobs and an end to violence in New Haven.
Unidad Latina en Accion which initiated the concept of a New Haven resident ID and is protecting the rights of immigrant workers...
I feel the same way about renovating this building as I would about renovating a building that held the Republican party.......I don't like nor agree with either of those parties, but I would like to see the reasoning behind giving them a grant before casting stones.

Nah... what fun is that? I'd rather cast stones... and hopefully hit someone.

?! And you gripe about my references? I guess once you have been indoctrinated if it's not in line with what the little red book says it is automatically a lie, heaven forbid any party member think for themselves and draw their own conclusions.

You saw what you expected to see in that blog, ignoring the parts about the history of the building.......you decided not to even understand what I posted about NOT liking the communist party any more than I like the Republican party.......you are a fraud otis. You can label liberals as communists, or socialists, all you want. Bottom line is....it just isn't true. I did a simple google search on the building....and thought it interesting.
