Bob McDonnell Gives Obama Some Credit For Virginia's Economy (VIDEO)

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell (R), a potential vice president pick for Mitt Romney, reluctantly admitted on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday morning that President Obama's policies helped to dig Virginia out of the recession.

“Did [the stimulus] help us in the short-run with health care and education and spending to balance the budget? Sure,” he told host Candy Crowley. “Does it help us in the long-term to really cut the unemployment rate? I’d say no.”

Asked whether the president "deserves a tiny bit of credit" for Virginia's better-than-average economy, McDonnell responded, "Well, sure. I think there are national policies that have had some impact.”

Dang... It looks like that "failed stimulus" didn't fail after all. Of course, he tried to take credit for everything anyway, but [begrudginly] he has to admit it worked.

I just love Googling the hypocrites that rail against the stimulus and have photos showing them at all the various ribbon-cutting ceremonies at buildings and road projects that were paid for by the stimulus. It's sooooo gratifying....

But particularly coming from Governor Vaginal-Probe / "I want drones over Virginia for law enforcement", it's even funnier.

So you are using the words of a man you disagree with 99.9% of the time to justify the "stimulus" . What you smokin today?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Damning with faint praise? Northern Virginia was one of the only spots in the nation where the cost of housing actuallly went up because federal government jobs and wages increased dramatically. In essence DC and NoVa Were sucking money from the rest of the nation.

Of course the SwindleUs spending helped the economy of Virgina - there are many federal offices that employ a large number of Virginians that got a large increase to their budgets at the expense of the taxpayers of every other State. Ask the same question to the governor of Maryland and you will get a similar response. Outside of the beltway, however, it was mostly money flushed down the sewer that your grandchildren's grandchildren won't have paid back when they are bouncing their grandchildren on their knees.
