Yep, filibustered again. But don't worry... There really ISN'T a "GOP War on Women"...That's just a myth. They're really for women...They just love business more.
I don't understand how this would actually work in the real world. How would this be enacted? Does talent, knowledge, profitability, etc not matter? If you have a woman who is awesome, makes tons of $$ for the company, and has been there exactly 10 yrs, and you have a man, who just punches the clock each day....and has been there exactly 10 yrs, will this law require they be paid exactly the same thing?
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
Since the GOP leaders aren't going to let anything pass that might actually help the economy, it's a moot point. Jus' keep doin' what yer doin'... The GOP wasn't really expecting to get the women's vote this year, were they?
No, it really does matter. I would expect our politicians to block a vote, or vote down something we don't understand how it would be applied. I see it being a bureaucratic nightmare for businesses, and I don't know any women who would support such a thing. Most of my female friends make the same or more than their male counterparts anyway. Mainly because those in the workforce are extremely driven. They don't want someone to pay them equally "just because", they want to make more...because they are worth more to their company.

Well, then I guess you should read the bill. You're assuming "we don't understand how it would be applied", which means YOU don't understand how it would be applied, and it's not my job to educate you.
Let me know when you have some facts to talk about instead of your knee-jerk conservative assumptions about something you obviously know nothing about.
This is just a bonanza for laywers - thousands of new law suits to be filed by women against American business. But I guess the left thinks that's just what we need right now- the only business it'll help will be the law suit business.

I have read the bill. It sounds like a bureaucratic nightmare with lawyers being the only true winners. I can't imagine trying to run a business and not worrying about being sued, unless you paid everyone the same amount. I hate equal pay...everyone should be paid on merit, and laws such as this would penalize high achievers, and destroy motivating and productivity.

You know how to avoid being sued?
Don't hire any women. Businesses will think twice before they hire the next one.
