Anybody got one of those?

"Truth or not..." Really? rofllol

I don't see where you have anything that says he did not and one of his staff did not do it. So What.

That is why there is this thing called an INVESTIGATION. Ever heard of that. But then again the Atty General EH is the one appointing the investigating Atty's so who knows. Holder couldn't find himself out of a wet paper bag.

What about the title of this thread......"Obama administration's intelligence leak"? Is it attributed to the Obama administration just because he is president when it happened.....if some contractor leaked it....is it still attributed to Obama's administration? I'm sorry, but automatically blaming Obama, the White House, or the administration seems premature.

That is why there is an investigation Archer, When all done and said, and provided the truth comes out, then hopefully we will know the truth. I myself do not know who did what. That is why I believe it should be and independent investigation outside of Fed Gov circle to make it a truly non bias one.

So if Holder finds out who leaked the intelligence will you not believe it? I ask you because I know that for many here if the Pope himself could swear that it wasn't the Obama administration they wouldn't believe it.

Who do you think "three dozen of his current and former advisers" as mentioned in the New York Times article worked for? Dairy Queen? I know... they worked for Bush!!! Are you really that dumb or do you just play that on the internet?

There were also contractors privy to this information.....are they too part of the administration? Do you think the only people with access to this info were Obama's current and former advisors? Are you really that dumb or do you just play that on the internet?

The New York Times never mentioned anything about contractors. And the New York Times never said they interviewed any contractors. And the New York Times never quoted any contractors making any statement about national security issues... but the New York Times DID mention, numerous time, the "three dozen of his current and former advisers" who DID make statements on national security issues.

The key word there is "current" as in advisors to the White House, as in advisors to President Obama, as in advisors from the White House that leaked information on national security issues. I'm not interested in the politics behind unverified statements that President Obama purposefully leaked information to help his reelection bid. But I am concerned when top White House (read: Obama administration) advisors have loose lips. This is solely in the lap of the Obama administration. And no amount of your twisting and spinning is going to change what the New York Times has stated.

And this is only one incident (the NYT leaks) in a series of leaks over the past few months. Something is wrong, and the buck of that wrong stops at Obama's desk.

I am neither twisting nor spinning....just looking for the truth. So far I have seen several "truths" from the right here, none of which has been verified. Yes, the buck does stop on the presidents desk.....but that does not mean, he....or anyone in the White House.....deliberately leaked this info to make the him look good on national security, speculation runs rampant in Washington, and by the time this is done and investigated, no one will care if Obama is guilty or not, he has already been painted as guilty by nearly the entire GOP, and that may be all the voters remember.

As for the contractors....I had heard that on one of the news blurbs that state department contractors also had access to this information, and they have been known to leak info in the past

A State Department contractor was indicted Friday by a federal grand jury in the District, becoming the latest target of a series of investigations into unauthorized government leaks to news organizations under the Obama administration.

Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, 43, then a senior adviser for intelligence on detail to the State Department's arms control compliance bureau, was charged with disclosing national defense information in June 2009 to a national news organization, believed to be Fox News, and lying to the FBI. Kim pleaded not guilty before U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly.

I'm not sure I would be willing to take the NYT's word for who they got the info from.....don't they try and protect their sources?

Myself I trust holder about as much as I do my ex wife.

They really need someone from outside to do the investigation

Archer... you're getting annoying. If you have read over my post carefully, you will not find a single comment from me suggesting that Obama or his advisors released information for political gain. I specifically mentioned in one comment above that I find that unverified and not part of the issue. So, when you are responding to MY comments, you can stop dropping in talking points that don't relate to anything I said. That's a purposeful deflection on your part and it's transparent as all hell. Debate me, debate what I have stated. In one breath you claim you're not twisting and spinning the issue, and you turn right around and twist and spin in the same paragraph.

I have been ONLY discussing the New York Times article. So any of these political machinations trying to tie Obama directly to the leaks by the right doesn't figure into my comments, and shouldn't figure in your answers to me. If you want to debate the silly, unprovable allegations about Obama, you keep that slop in your discussions with Otis or Martin, folks like that. With me, you address what I have said, not what someone else has said.

If the New York Times article is correct in their reporting, national security leaks DID come from the White House. Those advisors were not Senate advisors, not House advisors, they were attached to the White House and President Obama.
