If Barack Obama loses re-election, he can blame bigoted white voters. That's an argument we've heard almost continuously since things started going wrong for the president, and we can expect to hear it until November and, if Obama does lose, for some time thereafter.
But wait. In 2008 Obama not only won but received a higher percentage of the vote than any candidate since 1988 and any Democrat since 1964. For Obama to lose this year, a lot of voters who supported him then will have to switch to the Republican nominee or at least stay home. Those prospective swing voters can't be antiblack bigots, can they? They voted for a black man in the last election.
Leave it to Mike Lupica of New York's Daily News to square this circle, in a column titled "The Silent Issue That Could Doom President Obama in the 2012 Election." "............................
Nah, I think the GOP still has the White Bubba/Bigot vote still sewn up. They've been voting against their own best interests for years...Why change now?
We've got definitive proof right here on 285Bound.

It's broad statements like this, that makes me wonder about even reading anything you write Democracy4Sale.
IN NOVEMBER 2014, WE HAVE A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN OUT THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND ONE-THIRD OF THE SENATE! DONT BLOW IT!
“When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex. Only whit man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.” Indian Chief Two Eagles
If Obama does lose, racism will be blamed, not mishandling the economy or mismanaging the job.
It does looks like a meltdown in the campaign, Axelrod stammered along with hemming and hawing through the Sunday shows trying to defend Barack's bungled press conference. And Carney needs to be replaced, he is exhausted and unable to defend Obama coherently.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
No leave them. Love to see them try to defend. People start to understand.
Can't believe people have to bring in color, calling it racism when it is the actions that are being disputed.

In 2008 if you had ideological problems with Barack Obama's political policies, the left had no argument, no intelligent debate to support their positions... it was easier to simply claimed racism. After 3 1/2 years of "leading" this country, President Obama now has a record that can be vetted and scored. The left still has nothing to debate... they cannot praise his achievements, nothing he has accomplished has helped the middle class in the least. Time to claim racism again.
This time around, it's not going to work. The Emperor has no clothes, and the only color anyone can see is the color of fail.
Sorry...I disagree
The auto bailout DID help the middle class....the ACA has and will help the middle class. Keeping the tax cuts for the middle class is good...where he failed is in not letting the tax cuts for the wealthy expire. I may be disappointed with things that have not been done, but I approve of the path he has taken and see nothing in the GOP platform that I think will help the middle class...the poor, the seniors or small business.
Yes, we disagree....but that doesn't make you right and me wrong...nor does that mean I'm calling you a racist because you are a conservative and won't vote for Obama. I do think you are shortsighted and brainwashed by corporate America, but that is a subject for another thread.
I'll actually be relieved if Obama loses (I suspect he will, by a close vote). Then we can see how Mr. Moneybags handles things. And the conservatives can shut the hell up about how they'd fix things. Hopefully, Romney will have learned how to spell "America" by the time he takes office.

Mitt will just steal a page from BHO's playbook. "Whine, I can't get America working because Congress won't pass my bills, especially the Senate."

Big whoop...
Spike Lee: Obama win not a sure thing
“I can't say to all the people that are unhappy with him that they're racist people,” Lee said of Obama’s critics. “People ain't got jobs, people are hurting. So I don't care what color you are, if people are out of work, it's tough. And then when you're the first African American president, that's not helping either.”
