Do you think the Prez. matters for that to happen? Carter was in charge when Apple started.FredHayek wrote: Reducing barriers that make it difficult to start and expand businesses. It can be as simple as relaxing zoning rules. So many famous American businesses started illegally in garages like Apple Hewlett Packard and the company I work for started in a garage in 1982.

You are now starting to understand. Private business creates jobs in the private sector. They produce goods. The government produces nothing but is only as a tick on a dog sucking on its blood. But the U.S. tick is beginning to be as big as the dog.jmc wrote: If the conservatives believe that Gov. influence hurts the economy, andthat only lack of Gov. helps. How does Romney say he can create jobs? By doing nothing or less? I could buy the idea that no prez. will create jobs, I am missing on how the conservative politicians will create jobs other than doing nothing or is it just rolling back stuff? Seriously interested in how you think and what I see as a huge disconnect of logic.
Can you be a do nothing job creator? Is that how you think it works.

It was just local example. Just reining in the EPA a little bit will help American business expand.jmc wrote:

So , how will Romney change the EPA? I haven't heard anything specific. And how does his Bain experience help create jobs if all it takes is to "rein in the EPA"? he will be a very activist president,IMHO.FredHayek wrote:

archer wrote: What barriers? If corporations are making record profits with the current restrictions in place....why do we think they would create more jobs if we remove those restrictions? I'm thinking they will just make bigger profits....how does that help the average citizen?
