Can somebody answer this simple question?

Small businesses aren't making record profits. Every day it seems like I see more retail and industrial space up for lease. It is clear that America is not inspired by BHO to go back to work and risk their savings on new business's. Mitt would be fresh blood.

Exactly right Fred, small businesses employ more people and have it tougher. And this is before Obamacare kicks in.

In our current economy are businesses anxious to hire? Do business owners feel confident that their businesses will continue to be profitable? I maintain the answer to both questions is no. Why? The Gubment is intruding on businesses by changing out tax codes and dangling new laws in front on them like Obumacare that will make it difficult if not impossible for small and medium businesses to survive. Even large corporations are cutting back on their healthcare coverage and downsizing their workforces in an attempt to stay in business. Many businesses have been and still are exporting jobs to countries where labor rates are much cheaper, the local Gubments are much friendlier to businesses, and the population is happy to make a few dollars a day for a full days work without any additional benefits.

The "do nothing to create jobs" approach requires a lot of doing; start by creating an economy that attracts businesses back to America. Keep American jobs in America by rescinding laws that punish businesses for being successful. Make the Gubment smaller and more efficient, I know that sounds like an impossible task but I believe it can be done if there are more private sector jobs for people to transfer to.

Reform the tax codes by making them simple and closing the loopholes while also reducing taxes. Restore American's work ethic by allowing those who work the hardest and are the most effective to keep most of what they earn. People who can't work will still need to be supported but those who choose not to work but are able should no longer be coddled and be allowed to coast along on the backs of the tax payers.

Pass laws that enact term limits for all politicians, no one should be allowed to have a career as a lifetime politician. Make conscription mandatory for all able citizens for two years after they graduate High School or reach the age of 19. Conscription would include military service and alternatives in civil service organizations like Americorps and private volunteer organizations; young men and women need to learn why it is important to serve others before they proceed to higher education or enter the employment market.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

Just a couple comments, The reason business is not expanding has to do with a lack of consumer demand. As long as working people are uncertain they will buy less, business will always respond to demand for their products not tax rates.
Businesses would be more efficient if they were out of the health care biz.
High producers already keep most of what they make and I never met an entrepreneur that obsessed about tax rates.
Term limits sound good but I should be able to vote for the best qualified candidate regardless of arbitrary limits.Agree on conscription.
Otis you sound like a RINO to me. Lots of Gov. rules.
