Obama's Former Harvard Law School Professor, Says The President 'Must Be Defeated'
One of President Barack Obama's former professors appears to have turned against him... "President Obama must be defeated in the coming election," Roberto Unger, a longtime professor at Harvard Law School who taught Obama, said in a video posted on May 22. "He has failed to advance the progressive cause in the United States."
... he said that "the risk of military adventurism" would be no worse under a Republican than under Obama, and that "the Democratic Party proposes no new direction."
The professor went on to list his complaints:
"His policy is financial confidence and food stamps."
"He has spent trillions of dollars to rescue the moneyed interests and left workers and homeowners to their own devices."
"He has delivered the politics of democracy to the rule of money."
"He has disguised his surrender with an empty appeal to tax justice."
"He has reduced justice to charity."
"He has subordinated the broadening of economic and educational opportunity to the important but secondary issue of access to health care in the mistaken belief that he would be spared a fight."
"He has evoked a politics of handholding, but no one changes the world without a struggle."
These seven points should be use on EVERY GOP campaign ad and campaign literature. No other comment on my part. The article in The Huffington Post says it all. See the video links in The Huffington Post article.
Would the GOP actually put out ads saying Obama should be replaced because he isn't progressive enough, so vote for someone who is even less progressive and far right?

No... they would pick and chose and use these seven points. That's politics Archer. Everyone does it. And the professor makes a backhanded slap against Obama's current policies while he's trying to bolster his socialist vision. Works for me.

I guess it depends on who you listen to. I wonder how many folks will be dissuaded from voting for someone based on such drivel?
Of course it's just "drivel." He's just a Harvard professor. One of those ivory tower liberal that is totally out of touch with the man in the streets. Extrapolating your comment out to it's apparent meaning... then that Harvard Professor who taught Obama probably taught him a lot of drivel. Of course, I could tell you that Obama is full of drivel without hearing a word from one of his educators.
You're right.. depends on who you listen too... apparently you don't listen to anyone.
Obama used to teach constitutional law. Ironic considering how little respect he has shown for the document. It seems like VL is the only lefty here willing to admit the Barack is just Bush lite.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.

Bush lite is exactly what that Harvard professor was implying about Obama. Obama gets his campaign money the same way Bush did, makes backhanded deals the same way Bush did, treats Islamic terrorist the same way Bush did, still has renditions the same way Bush had, has spent as much or more of the taxpayers money the same way Bush did, has the prison call Git-Mo the same as Bush did, has troops in Iraq and Afghanistan the same as Bush, has thrown us into a economic mess the same way Bush did... I could go on... but it's evident to anyone... even a fool.
After three and a half years of blaming Bush, the left has grown us a Bush clone. It was bound to happen.
