Gov. Hickenlooper banned the use of consumer fireworks in the state, but is still allowing the sale. Do you support this compromise or do you think because of the the high fire danger this summer, that the sale of all fireworks should be banned in Colorado?

I like Hickenlooper's compromise but I am a libertarian. I have noticed not as many firework stands in the metro area this year.

Commerce is commerce, but exceptions should be made in lite of our current situation.

I think there should be a statewide ban on all use of fireworks and sales. And that includes professional displays.

I think it's silly to allow the sale of fireworks if you are banned from using them. Anyone with a brain knows fireworks purchased in Colorado will be ignited in Colorado, ban or no ban. There are plenty of safe places to set off professional displays in the flatlands, but I would definitely keep the ban for mountain areas.

Not true about using them. I bought a couple cases of fireworks from Wyoming 10 years ago and haven't had a chance to use them. July 4th always seems too dry.

You live in the mountains, people down here buy tons of fireworks and we here them all night for a week before the 4th. I'm sure there will be less purchased, but people who buy them have the intention of using them.
