Frankly I don't see it. The GOP chooses a very moderate to liberal candidate despite what LJ says. America likes being taken care of and giving the bill to the kids.

Back on topic: while Americans like to whine I think they are pretty content and will most likely give O a second term because the media will put a full court press on Romney. Who needs donations when 90% of media is on your side.

I think Obama was elected because he was running against McCain, who disappointed the right so much that his campaign made the image choice of Palin for his running mate. Talk about style over substance. Even McCain's campaign brain trust was worried about Palin being anywhere near the White House.
This time around no one who could possibly win the election wants anything to do with it because they would rather wait until they don't have to run against an incumbent President. They are more than content to let Romney lose to President Obama and fade into the background. The electable Republicans are waiting for 2016.
