"Judge Richard Posner, a conservative on the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago, has long been one of the nation's most respected and admired legal thinkers on the right. But in an interview with NPR, he expressed exasperation at the modern Republican Party, and confessed that he has become "less conservative" as a result."..............................

You omitted the best part of his comments:

"Posner expressed admiration for President Ronald Reagan and the economist Milton Friedman, two pillars of conservatism. But over the past 10 years, Posner said, "there's been a real deterioration in conservative thinking. And that has to lead people to re-examine and modify their thinking."

"I've become less conservative since the Republican Party started becoming goofy," he said."

"Remember to always be yourself. Unless you can be batman. Then always be batman." Unknown

A familiar refrain: "I didn't leave the GOP...The GOP left me..."

Yes, you got a spanking for that, bad boy. rofllol

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

He is what you call "RINO". He has not "become" less conservative, he has been outed by conservatives.

"RINO"s are people who haven't drunk enough Kool-Aid to become extremist party ideologues yet... When you're THAT far to the right, then everything and everyone that doesn't agree with your fascist views looks like a "RINO"...

Oh wait a second, LJ is not far left at all, in fact she is quite moderate and carefully considers both sides of any political issue. I've personally been very impressed with her ability to reason with those who disagree without berating or insulting them. LJ is the kind of person we need in congress... the kind of person who would be more willing to listen to and thoughtfully consider a more conservative point of view (intead of those who insult and name call at every opportunity.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
