Is anyone out there concerned about the Park County Commissioners,(BOCC) attaching a library to the only 1874 Historical building on the National Register? Especially since South Park has been designated a National Heritage area? The BOCC will be putting several county offices on the 2nd floor of the new library. Granted, a library is needed, but at what expense?
Has any research been done on just how many people use a library now since the advent of computers? A smaller library could be placed in numerous places, (minus the county offices), at a much less expense. If you are concerned, let your BOCC know by writing to them at: P.O. Box 1373, Fairplay, CO, 80440.
