I was just discussing with some friends how lucky we we've been here along the 285 corridor with all the wildfires going on this season. I know some of my friends have avoided going into the city on weekends because they were so worried about a wildfire breaking out at home and not being able to get back to evacuate their animals and irreplaceable items.
It's pretty amazing to NOT be in the bulls eye with big fires this season, given the amount of traffic and campers that 285 draws. I guess it's just the luck of the draw, more than anything else.
I hope this monsoon pattern keeps up with frequent rain for the rest of the summer. This morning is so beautiful and lovely.
Saw a lot of ATV's out and heard shooting this weekend in between monsoons but didn't see many camps. Just isn't the same with a propane cook stove instead of a campfire.
