Personally I think he would do better with a more combative, bulldog type VP like Cheney. condi seems a little standoffish and not willing to get her hands dirty in a general election.
Christie would fill this pretty well, any other fighters? Rubio I think has the intensity.

Jindal would be a good choice but Rice would be the best choice, IMO. It would pull some of the black vote from Obama and as close as the two are in the polls, that would be all Romney needs to win.
Won't happen - Rice is a policy wonk, not a politician. She might be willing to serve in his cabinet or as an adviser, but she would decline any request to be the candidate for VP.

She might be Romney's first choice to join him on the ticket, but Rice wouldn't accept the invitation to be the VP candidate. Rice's talents lie in being the one someone else relies on to get the job done, to flesh out the policy and get it implemented and it's a job she does extremely well. I would look for her to be part of the administration in some capacity and perhaps the most visible person on Romney's transition team as he prepares to take over the duties of the presidency. VP? Not a chance, she's not interested in being one of the ones down in the mud pit that Obama, Biden and the media are planning on conducting this election in.
I don't know if she is that certain. What do you do after be being Sec'y of State. Being the first woman VP must appeal to her historically and I could see her being a super Sec'y of State. But she would totally dread the campaigning and having to re-live all the past errors of her previous job in the press.
