That sounds like a boatload of RF energy if it can heat underground rock. Sorta like a Star Trek phaser weapon. :lol: Or would it be more like a disruptor or photon torpedo? LOL

Not sure I would want to be a worker anywhere near that antenna without a grounded iron suit. :)

I am guessing that they inject something that is reactive to RF. I am also guessing that the current EPA or maybe the FCC will put a stick in the spokes. If Romney wins I am wondering if this could have an effect on the price of oil.

It will probably cause genetic mutations in underground worms, turning them into giant 10 foot monsters that will attack the workers. Wait, I think I saw a sci-fi movie about that. :lol:

Actually it sounds like "induction heating". The new fancy electric stoves work this way, by EM energy transfer to your iron cooking pan. Aluminum or pyrex pans won't work well. The distance is only a fraction of an inch too.
