Does this mean anything?

So President Obama has spent 3x as much on negative ads so for compared to Romney, yet the polls are still pretty even. His character attacks on Romney don't seem to be pulling him ahead and the clock is ticking. It seems like this is similar to the primary attacks, and we know how that turned out.

What could Obama do differently at this point other than bash Romney's character? I've yet to see him touting his accomplishments... maybe I just missed those ads.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I saw a poll in the Week this week. 75% of Obama voters are voting for the man, only 25% are voting against the GOP.

Meanwhile only 35% of Romney voters are voting for him and 65% are voting against Obama.

Who are more likely to vote in a rainstorm and donate early, the haters or the lovers?

Seems like if Obama's going negative so heavilly, the best strategy he can come up with is "I'm not Romney". That's pretty sad for an incumbent.

I totally don't understand the idea that if Mitt Romney outsourced jobs when he ran Bain Capital, it means he will outsource jobs when he is POTUS. Totally different jobs and different goals. US Presidents want to create domestic jobs, (Someone should tell Obama this!). Business CEO's want to increase margins by lowering costs and increasing profits. Domestic employment is secondary. If you can find a company that can make your product for 50% less than you can do it, make them a contract manufacturer, whether they are in Dallas, Texas, or Tapei, Taiwan.

I think with Romney's strategy, maybe all the negative Obama ads were used up in 2008, so re-cycling them now would be stupid. Best bet is to stay offensive on the economy and jobs, and just counter stupid things Obama says like “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that,”

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

I agree... you can't compare the goals of a private equity firm with the goals of the president. That's like saying that some guy who was a womanizer in his private life would be a womanizer in the White House if he became president. Well hmm, maybe I better think of a better example
