Have you ever gotten to do something so cool you’re almost jealous of yourself?
Pretty sure this would count: On August 12th, just three weeks before the Democratic National Convention and 12 weeks before Election Day, President Obama will have a few friends over to mark his 51st birthday—in the backyard of his Chicago home.
And you’re invited.
Make a donation today to be automatically entered for a chance to be there—flight and hotel paid for.
Look, campaigns are hard work, both for the President and the millions of people like you who are building it on the ground. When you factor in the ridiculous amounts of money the Romney campaign and pro-Romney super PACs are raising, we’re going to have to work even harder to win than we did in 2008.
Let’s have some fun together before the final push to Election Day.
Hey gang! Are you cool enough to attend Barack Obama’s super awesome birthday fun super-party? You are now! All you have to do is donate money to Obama’s campaign…and then your name is entered into a raffle…and then you MAY get selected to attend the birthday party! SO AWESOME! Right? Because there is nothing cooler than having to pay to possibly get invited to a birthday party. (And yes, that was all sarcasm in case it didn’t come across in the writing).
I wonder if they will have to show Gubment issued ID to attend the shin-dig? I somehow think that anyone "selected at random" will have to go through a vetting process and anyone who can't pass the 100% Pro-Obama test will no longer be invited and probably put on a "watch these individuals" list.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I wouldn't donate a counterfeit wooden nickel to Barry's campaign and I have to admit that I have often wondered about how cool it would be to meet the POTUS in person, I would pass on meeting the current one.

I don't understand that mentality. I would consider it an honor to meet any president of our country, whether a democrat or republican....even GW. I don't have to agree with their politics to respect the office they hold. Too bad otis that you cannot see the person behind the politics and understand that you can learn from and even enjoy a conversation with someone even if your politics are polar opposites.
Well I met a couple JC, way back and Bush Jr, not so long ago, both were people. no different than anyone else.
But this advert for peeps to give $$$ to get a chance to attend a B day party is just funny.
