Nancy Pelosi Downplays Tax Return Demand

What a bunch of fookin' hypocrites (ya like the Irish accent?)...

Facing questions about why she and other top Congressional officials won’t release their tax returns, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) downplayed her previous demands for presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney to release his, calling the issue a distraction.

As recently as Wednesday, Pelosi had strongly urged Romney to provide further disclosure of his tax returns. But today, while maintaining Romney should release more documents because of “custom” and “tradition,” Pelosi said the issue was trivial compared with economic issues.

“We spent too much time on that. We should be talking about middle-income tax cuts,” Pelosi said after answering two questions about the issue.

Too funny! Poor mixed up and confused Nancy, she never gets a break from her own words.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

:bash It has EVERYTHING to do with the subject and context of the article. Pelosi is not running for POTUS is she?

If you were not such a tool for blind partisan politics you might have followed up on part of the quote you posted: "As recently as Wednesday, Pelosi had strongly urged Romney to provide further disclosure of his tax returns." Well on Wednesday she said that she would release her records when she ran for president. And in the articlce you link to she states "it is custom and tradition for a Presidential Candidate to do so". Heck even McCain submitted decades of returns when he ran for President.

There are many Republicans that area asking presidential candidate Romney the same thing. WHere is your outrage towards them?

Speaker of the House is a very high up position. There are many past examples of US Congressman using inside info to gain wealth and avoid losses. Only makes sense for them to show their returns. Mitt is currently a private citizen no need to show his.

Pelosi is no longer Speaker. C'mon, Mitt is hardly a private citizen. He's running for the highest office in the land.

Pelosi is still minority leader, a very powerful position and still has access to know which firms will win big goverment contracts.
