“I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks,” she said at a World Affairs Council forum, according to AP. But on Obama, she said, “I don’t believe for a moment that he goes out and talks about it.”

I think it's time for an independent counsel.
Mitt Romney will be addressing the VFW Convention in Nevada this afternoon and, based on a prepared excerpt of his speech distributed by his campaign, he plans to demand President Obama conduct a “full and prompt investigation” of leaks of classified information that may have come from the White House.
“This conduct is contemptible. It betrays our national interest. It compromises our men and women in the field. And it demands a full and prompt investigation, with explanation and consequence,” Mr. Romney’s speech says. “Whoever provided classified information to the media, seeking political advantage for the administration, must be exposed, dismissed, and punished. The time for stonewalling is over.” …
“It is not enough to say the matter is being looked into, and leave it at that. When the issue is the political use of highly sensitive national security information, it is unacceptable to say, ‘We’ll report our findings after Election Day,’” Mr. Romney says in the speech. “Exactly who in the White House betrayed these secrets? Did a superior authorize it? These are things that Americans are entitled to know – and they are entitled to know right now. If the President believes – as he said last week – that the buck stops with him, then he owes all Americans a full and prompt accounting of the facts.”

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said Monday that someone at the White House was responsible for the recent leaks of classified information.
“I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks,” Feinstein said in an address at the World Affairs Council, the Associated Press first reported.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/2 ... f=politicsDianne Feinstein Regrets White House Leaks Speculation
WASHINGTON -- The head of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Tuesday that she shouldn't have speculated about the White House's responsibility for national security leaks because she didn't know the source of the unauthorized disclosures.
Just hours after Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney seized on her comments to criticize President Barack Obama, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., issued a statement offering her regrets about her observation while insisting that she was confident the president did not disclose classified information.
"I am disappointed by the statements made by Mr. Romney today regarding a question I was asked yesterday at the World Affairs Council," Feinstein said. "I was asked whether the White House might be responsible for recent national security leaks. I stated that I did not believe the president leaked classified information. I shouldn't have speculated beyond that because the fact of the matter is I don't know the source of the leaks."
Obama and the administration have strongly rejected the leak accusations. Attorney General Eric Holder has appointed two attorneys to lead the investigation into who leaked information about U.S. involvement in cyberattacks on Iran and about an al-Qaida plot to place an explosive device aboard a U.S.-bound airliner.
Feinstein said she regretted that her remarks "are being used to impugn President Obama or his commitment to protecting national security secrets. I know for a fact the president is extremely troubled by these leaks. His administration has moved aggressively to appoint two independent U.S. attorneys. There is an investigation under way, and it is moving forward quickly."
