With the endless detailed re-hashing of the Aurora shooting by the wonderful and caring media, what if we start seeing copycat killers on a weekly or daily basis? What if, as the economy continues down the toilet, more desperate nutjobs with less and less to lose, decide to go out with a bang, leave their mark, and try to become relevant in their own minds by killing lots of people?
What would you want the government to do about it (or not do)... what would make a difference? And when you go to crowded public places, would you want more, or less people with legal concealed weapons?
I'm not looking to get into any arguments here because I don't claim to havve the annswers, just want to discusss the options if this becomes much more common.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Or will people respond like they have on commercial airliners? It will be interesting to see how the entertainment industry reacts. It this a one time occurrence or is it a persistent threat? I think it's the later but in the same breath I'll concede that today a venue like a movie theater is a very soft target.
I don't want to go through an airport TSA type security screening when I go to see a movie, if that is the way theater owners choose to react to this crime I think it will hurt them economically. What would come next? You have to go through a TSA/DHS security screening to enter a shopping mall, univeristy campus, or a library?
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Those were the same things I was thinking. We are unable to protect ourselves so the government will step in and "create" a million more jobs, just in case. Then I would expect ammo to go through the roof like cigarettes.

Declare them terrorists. Ship them to Gitmo and water board them until all useful info is obtained. Sit them in front of a military tribunal, sentence them to death and execute them. Then there should be a two line press release. "So and so was executed at 0700 and fed to the sharks, after being wrapped in a pig skin"(just covering all the bases).
What would their last meal options be? I vote for a pound of lead delivered to center mass via a 21 gun salute.
