Maryland Police Think Neil Prescott May Have Had Aurora-Like Shooting Plot, Report Says (UPDATED)

WASHINGTON -- Police in Maryland foiled what may have been a shooting plot on the scale of last week's massacre at an Aurora, Colo., movie theater, according to a report from WJLA-TV/ABC7.

The television station reported Friday that police arrested a man in Crofton on Thursday night and found an "arsenal" of weapons at his home. The man, identified in media reports as Neil Prescott, was in the process of being terminated from his job at mailroom supplier and document company Pitney Bowes in Prince George's County and "had made threats directed toward his employer," according to WJLA-TV.

Crofton is located about 25 miles east of the nation's capital.

In last Friday's shooting in Colorado, 12 people were killed and nearly 60 were wounded. James Holmes, 24, the suspected shooter that allegedly opened fire on the unsuspecting movie theater audience, was arrested on the night of the shooting and is expected to be formally charged Monday.

An official with knowledge of the investigation told The Associated Press that Prescott phoned in a threat to Pitney Bowes that he was going to "shoot the place up." Investigators say a search of Trescott's home turned up more than 20 guns, including assault rifles and handguns, and more than 400 rounds of ammunition.

The NRA is pro mass murder. Let them wear that crown with pride.
Let us be the voice of reason. Let us be pro-life.

20 guns and 400 rounds of ammo is hardly an arsenal.

Usual lies about the NRA. I am a life member and get their magazine every month and have never heard them declare that they are pro-mass murder.
And what does the NRA have to do with the article?

Yes...And Saul was right, (as he usually was), and conservatives are such a target-rich environment.

The mystery here is an age-old mystery: What makes a person go so far south that they endeavour to inflict this type of evil on others? There is evil in the world and we have no more ability to predict or stop it than we have ability to predict or stop our own death.

The second mystery is that we an organization that seems hell-bent on enabling them to take out the maximum number of people with the maximum amount of firepower, while hiding behind the 2nd Amendment.
