(CNSNews.com) -- A new Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report says that under the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, 30 million non-elderly Americans will remain without health insurance in 2022.

One of the main arguments the Obama administration made for passing the Affordable Care Act was that it would provide coverage for the uninsured.

Currently, according to CBO, there are 53 million uninsured persons in the United States, including uninsured illegal aliens. The CBO estimates that in 2022--8 years after the Affordable Care Act has been fully implemented--30 million people will remain uninsured.

Moreover, under Obamacare, 8 percent of legal U.S. residents will remain without health insurance in 2022, according to CBO.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Well, the Republicans did what they could to make that number higher. Maybe next time...

So now "Everyone" means Everyone*?

* Unless they don't qualify for Obamacare; let the death panels decide who is worth taking care of and let the rest suffer.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Huh? are the conservatives now arguing FOR universal single payer health care? Great.....how fast can we get that passed so they will stop whining about what Obamacare won't do?

No, when the POTUS says "everyone will have insurance" in the context of a promise and then can't follow through it's a failure on the POTUS's part to fulfill a promise. In many circles this statement would be called a lie.

:rofl

So, if a parent promises to bring home the newest, latest XBox, but they are totally sold out in town, did he lie? Technically, yes I guess, but those who understand how promises work understand that no one person, be it a parent or a president can control the actions of others. Boehner has made promises in the house, then had to back off on them when his own party wouldn't support him. Those are the way such things go. You may be a hard liner, but most Americans are a wee bit less judgmental, as are children when a parent tries, but fails to fulfill a promise. A temper tantrum may follow, but it passes, the Republicans here have been throwing a 4 year temper tantrum. Most likely we will watch them do it for 4 more years.
:faint:

Oh....I couldn't find where Obama actually said that "everyone" would have insurance....could you point me to that statement please. I'd like to judge it for myself in context. Since he set up penalties for some who don't get insurance, and waived the penalties for those who can't afford them, it would lead me to believe that he didn't say everyone would HAVE insurance.

Have a real close look at the previous video, around 15 seconds in Barry says "...EVERYONE..." get back to me when you have a defensible point but don't be surprised if I'm less than responsive to your retort.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

He said everyone will have the security and stability that is missing today.....is that president-speak for "insurance"? Get back to me when you find where he said everyone would have insurance, that clip indicates that insurance would be affordable for everyone.

Splitting hairs and deflecting because you don't have any real answers; by your logic it would be acceptable to integrate Barrycare and deny 30 million people in the US (including illegal aliens) even knowing that 30 Million people would not be covered.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Obviously, we need more Health Care funding to cover everyone. I'm glad you pointed this out.
