Obama has already created 4.5 million NON-GOVERNMENT jobs in 3.5 years. That's more than the 3 million that Bush created in 8 years of his tax-cuts that were supposed to "trickle-down" (but didn't). Spare me your usual drivel about what the numbers were the day that Obama took office, and the fact that you can't turn a battleship around on a dime....He's already created 50% more jobs than Bush did in 8 years. Too bad he got handed Bush's recession too...
Tell me something SFB - how many jobs does an economy with full employment need to create versus one with high unemployment? The economy with full employment only needs to create enough jobs to maintain full employment, while the economy with high unemployment needs to create enough jobs to return to full employment.
The economy during the Bush years created enough jobs to keep full employment and enough jobs when employment dropped below full to reestablish full employment levels.
The economy during the Obama years is still, over 3 years after the recession ended, not capable of returning to full employment levels, despite trillions in stimulus and trillions more of additional debt accrued by the federal government; adding more to the debt total in the 4 years Obama has been president than it did during the 8 years that Bush was president, with no change to that reality in sight. The best it has been able to do is maintain a level of high unemployment.
You only need enough gas to fill the tank. When the tank is 3/4 full, you only need to add an additional 1/4 tanks worth to get if full again. When the tank is nearly empty, a 1/4 of a tank's worth of gas is still going to leave the tank mostly empty.
Thus endeth the lesson on the fallacy of SFB's attempts to use figures to pervert the truth in the interests of advancing some theory she seeks to establish.
