Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on the Obama Administration's definition of leadership.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

I like the honesty...it's refreshing. I have never agreed with the philosophy that doing the wrong thing is better than doing nothing. Better to spend the time working on the right solution than waste time on the wrong one. There is an old construction saying....if you don't take the time to do it right the first time, what makes you think you will have time to do it over? This country cannot afford to experiment with Ryan's radical ideas...we need to do what is right.

Archer, you don't think 4 years is enough to start coming up with a plan. I thought the deficit commission report was going to be their plan.

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

You can cut a board over and over again and it will still be too short if you don't measure correctly to begin with. A half-assed budget that gets you from now to next year and ignores all of the long term consequences is as good as having no plan at all. Obama has never bothered with passing a budget, that should say a lot to every citizen of this nation; there is no fiscal plan aside from taxing those how have wealth and spending and redistributing the money to those who are now no longer to work for it.

It's one thing to be fiscally irresponsible with your own personal finances, that just hurts you and your family. It's quite another matter when national policy has been made and that policy effects everyone in the country. Get back to me when your Social Security checks stop coming in because there are more people depending on the Government as a source of income than people working in private industry and paying taxes.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

You sound like a conservative talking about the ACA.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

So I can't citique your comment without being a "sore loser"? I felt EXACTLY the same way you do about ryan's budget, only for me, it was the ACA. I believe it was poorly concieved and that's my RIGHT to havethat opinion, same as you. My guess is that you believe people like me don't like the ACA because it came from the Obama administration... if that's your opinion, then it is very wrong.

Your opinion...my opinion. I have no problem with opinions unless they are presented as facts as Otis is so fond of doing.
