win some, lose some

"While two veteran Republicans, former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson and Rep. John Mica of Florida, survived conservative challenges in Tuesday’s congressional primaries, a veterinarian and political novice named Ted Yoho stole much of the spotlight.

Florida tea party challenger Yoho won a major upset against 12-term GOP Rep. Cliff Stearns by slightly more than 800 votes, about 1 percentage point, as four states held primaries, including Connecticut and Minnesota. Stearns conceded the race on Wednesday.

Stearns had been a national Republican favorite after spearheading criticism of the Obama administration’s energy program and its funding of Planned Parenthood.

But Yoho criticized Stearns for being in office too long and pledged that he would leave the House after eight years. He ran a TV ad where actors dressed as politicians in suits ate from a trough alongside pigs and threw mud at each other."

Loose some? as in Loose cannon or loose change? Or did you mean lose? You need to read the article before posting an Enquirer type headline.

Thanks for the spelling correction. Sorry, I do not read the Enquirer.

Sorry, I did not open that thread. PP funding is not even on my list and the thread title sounded predictable and boring.

Sour grapes maybe, but I think it is a good thing for politicians to not keep their jobs for life, some new blood that hasn't been corrupted by DC.
