Republican official carries Obama's head on a spike, Secret Service pays a visit

Republican Councilman Paul Smith, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, has found himself at the center of controversy after video of him holding a sign that depicted President Obama's head on a spike surfaced after being recorded at a Tea Party rally more than three years ago in April 2009. He also had other signs that included Nancy Pelosi with bullet holes in her head, and a noose around the neck of former Michigan Governor, Jennifer Granholm.

Not the smartest thing to do, especially with the Secret Service involved.

Reminds me of the time in Game of Thrones, where they chopped George Bush's head off. Tacky.

Agreed - such antics have no place in reasoned discourse.

So tell me Raees, what's your take on the latest ad showing Representative Alan West hitting seniors, single women and children? Is that what you would call an example of a classy act?

I don't have an opinion. I haven't seen it.

Super Pac ads by non-politicians are different than actual politicians physically carrying signs, IMO. Every one of the Super Pacs lies or distorts the truth. I don't think we should have Super Pacs, but the Supreme Court disagrees.
