Or...

Primarily he is a businessman and saw a niche of the market that wanted biased conservative news.

Could be. But if you actually read the Journal like I do, the reporters tend to be a little left of center, it is mainly on the editorial page you find the conservatives.

Sorry; I don't buy it. I personally know several black folks who are going to vote for Romney. Most voted for Obama the last time around and are disgusted with him.

Bad Economy, Good President: Poll Finds 86% Of African Americans Give Obama Favorable Rating

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — With many citing the economy as the most important issue for the 2012 presidential election, Loop21.com, a leading digital source of emergent Black culture, and a coalition of top black civic, entertainment and media organizations, conducted The State of the Black Economy (SOBE) survey, a study of African American public opinion on the issue. The study, conducted from July 9(th) to July 27(th), tapped into a panel of more than 5,000 regular African American visitors to the Loop21.com website.

According to polling results released today, Loop21.com’s African American panel respondents are more pessimistic about the national economy than they are on their own personal finances, however, 86% approve of President Obama’s performance on the economy. While overall the president’s economic job approval number have been hovering around the mid to low 40s; African Americans see him as doing much better than the public at large. The panel respondents tend to blame the current economic problems on former President George W. Bush, Wall Street, and Congress, more so than President Obama. Panel respondents also tend to think that President Obama’s race influences the public criticism he receives when people speak about his economic job performance.

Another interesting poll:

Seniors approve of Obama's policies for seniors by a 12% margin
Hispanics approve of Obama's policies by a 68% margin.

Wow, who knew?!?! Just because the teabaggers demonize everyone who isn't a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant, and anyone who has a Hispanic name or accent (regardless of whether they were born here, legally immigrated to here, are here legally or not)... I can't imagine why the Hispanic population wouldn't just rush to the GOP...

Why Romney is so unpopular with black voters

And why are Republicans and Romney so unpopular among African-Americans? It is in part because the Republican Party pals around with folks who, whether they are willing to admit it or not, harbor racial resentment towards communities of color and the nation's first black President.

Many conservatives believe that the so called “race card” is played too often and that liberals constantly hear racial "dog whistles," but that’s off the mark. The fact of the matter is that racially insensitive rhetoric isn’t as coded as it used to be.

When Newt Gingrich calls the first black President “the food stamp President,” black people hear that. When Donald Trump proclaims that Obama isn’t an American citizen or that he only got into Harvard Law School because his skin is brown, black people hear that. When Romney runs blatantly false attacks on welfare reminiscent of the “welfare queen” rhetoric of the 1990s, black people hear that. When Romney tells a fundraiser of majority white supporters in Montana that an NAACP audience booed him because they want “more stuff from the government,” black people can hear that.

And it’s not just about racially insensitive feelings or rhetoric. It’s also about which policies Republicans promote and those policies that would bring about greater racial and structural equity and harmony that they oppose.

It might also be religiously based. Mormons used to be very discriminatory to African-Americans.
