I just wanted to write to apologize for the majority of Park Counties population who just went "with the flow", not reading more in-depth what you were trying to tell our community. It was so sad seeing the outcome when over 700 people DID do their homework, and KNEW that everything you said at the debates were true, voted for you (but a lot of those votes were not counted and added to the final number due to an association with county government members).
It is so sad to know that folks just don't care about "where OUR money goes" and how it is spent, and what the future of our "ghost town's" is, and where it is going. You tried so hard to prove what was happening in our county and had so many wonderful ideas of how to pull us out of this mess. Even though NOW we are all seeing it with almost every week of the published Flume what is happening to our community... so many businesses closing, houses going into foreclosure, a broken police dept. turning the community to pull their children out of our High School due to some deputies breaking "codes of conduct", embarrassed after watching a video on You-Tube regarding our Sheriff arguing seeming to be disrespectful with a medical marijuana patient making us questioning what else may be going on in our Sheriffs Dept.
I am so sorry that the so called "majority" of the voters were not paying any attention to what you were saying and how hard you worked and did your homework proving it all, cause no-one was listening... they were all to comfortable with all that run our government offices. Even-though another poster here informed us that the Secretary of State said "if any government Official is voted in after two terms, you SHOULD look further into your voting system, there's definitely some funny business going on".
Now we have a new Communications Center, soon to have a new building to house our Commissioners, and yet we were told they would have their offices in the new comm. center, and now they want a new Animal Control building? And where is the money coming from?
Mr. Graves, I don't know if you saw this or not, but here is another issue you brought forward to our community and no one was listening, and said it was "just not true"... I'm so sorry our county will be a "ghost town" in no time... You tried...
