Advocating for the working man doesn’t pay too poorly, it seems. Here’s a list of the annual salaries and benefits earned by the nation’s top labor officials, according to the Labor Department. This data is based on 2011 filings:
AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka – $293,750.
National Education Association President Dennis Van Roekel – $460,060
Service Employees International Union President Mary Kay Henry – $290,334.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
Really? Where do the funds for the union leaders salaries come from then? Is it "Obama money?!"

I actually don't find those wages too high. Might even be a little low for how big of unions they have. And union presidents can always be voted out if they give themselves a big pay raise.

Please re-read what I wrote. I can't help you with your reading-comprehension problem... (Hint: The operative word was "rich"...not the source of their salary...)
